In your browser (the on-device converter)
- mediabunny — media reading, decoding and MP3 muxing. MPL-2.0.
- @mediabunny/mp3-encoder(MPL-2.0), which bundles the LAMEMP3 encoder compiled to WebAssembly. LAME is licensed under theLGPL; its source is available from the LAME project.
- client-zip — streaming ZIP downloads (MIT).
- idb-keyval — IndexedDB storage (Apache-2.0).
On our servers (the cloud converter)
- FFmpeg — decoding, encoding and probing for formats browsers can’t handle. We run theBtbN GPL build server-side; FFmpeg is a trademark of Fabrice Bellard, licensed under theGPL /LGPL; source for the exact builds is available from the BtbN project.
